Updated : Jul 27, 2026

For the past few days, social media has been buzzing with reports claiming that Bollywood star Katrina Kaif had been roped in for Prabhas' much-awaited action entertainer Spirit. The speculation gained momentum after reports suggested that she would be making her comeback following Deepika Padukone's reported exit from the project. However, the latest update has poured cold water on those rumours.

According to a fresh report, sources close to the development have dismissed the claims as "completely inaccurate and misleading." The source reportedly clarified that there is absolutely no truth to the reports linking Katrina Kaif with Spirit, adding that the entire story is based on speculation without any official verification.

The rumours had excited fans, especially since Katrina has stayed away from films after Merry Christmas and has largely remained out of the spotlight following the birth of her son. Her return to Telugu cinema after nearly two decades would have been a major talking point, making the speculation spread rapidly across entertainment circles.

Meanwhile, Spirit continues to dominate headlines with every casting update. The film stars Prabhas in the lead, with Triptii Dimri playing the female lead with Prakash Raj in prominent role. Vivek Oberoi is playing a pivotal role in this Sandeep Reddy Vanga's ambitious cop action drama. The movie is currently slated for a theatrical release on March 5, 2027. Bhadrakali Pictures and T-Series are producing the film on massive scale.
